Training

If you are a creditor based in Scotland and would like to learn more about the Common Financial Statement, we have developed a free e-learning course covering key aspects. We no longer offer training in England and Wales, as the CFS is being supplanted by the Standard Financial Statement (SFS).
  • Q:What e-learning is available for creditors?

    A:

This free course provides a complete introduction to the Common Financial Statement (CFS). It is suitable for any member of staff involved in processing repayment offers from customers in debt. It is designed to be used either as a stand-alone introduction for staff who are new to using CFS or as a recap/refresher for experienced staff. The course consists of four modules and a quiz, which will take approximately one hour to complete:

    • Introduction to the CFS – This module outlines the principles and approach that underpin the CFS.
    • Using the CFS – This module covers the CFS budgeting format and trigger spending figures.
    • Offers and working with advice agencies – This module looks at how CFS is used in the debt advice process and the role of the creditor and adviser good practice checklists.
    • Getting Help – This section provides an overview of CFS resources and useful advice tools that build on CFS.
  • Q:How can I access free e-learning for creditors?

    A:

Click here to complete a short registration form, and then follow the on screen instructions. After registration you will have access to the training for one month, during which you can revisit the training as many times as you like.
